Chris is experienced in a wide array of civil litigation, from intellectual property disputes to real estate actions.  He has a passion for advising innovative companies, and for developing an in-depth understanding of his clients’ concerns to provide them the most practical solutions. Chris believes that anticipating an opponent’s next move and adapting litigation strategy as a case evolves are essential to obtaining successful results.

Chris grew up in nearby Kent, and graduated from the University of Washington School of Law, where he was the Chief Managing Editor of the Washington Journal of Law, Technology & Arts.

Outside of the office, Chris enjoys working on his golf game, discovering new hiking trails, and analyzing Paw Patrol with his young son.

Representative Cases
  • In Re Estate of Arla Mae Rohatsch. Prosecuted claims for breach of fiduciary duty against estate’s personal representative; prevailed on all claims at trial, obtaining judgment for all requested damages and an award of attorneys’ fees.
  • H.B.C. IP, LLC v. Tealicious, Inc.  Prosecuted abandonment claims in trademark registration cancellation proceeding before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board; obtained favorable settlement, including client’s broad freedom to operate under concurrent use agreement.
  • Confidential Settlement in TTAB Proceeding. Prosecuted likelihood-of-confusion claims in a trademark registration cancellation proceeding before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board; obtained favorable settlement, including the assignment of the registrant’s entire interest in the disputed mark to the client.
  • City of Sumner Building Code Issues. Defended owner of multi-building apartment complex in building code dispute against the City of Sumner involving constitutional issues of government exactions; obtained favorable settlement and dismissal of all alleged violations.
